    Is This Too Big?

    The Mag 9.5 I believe is 3/4" plumbing and the flow curve reflects larger plumbing so may be putting out less than expected. The fittings on the other pump look big so you may need to reduce the outlet to fit your existing system. This combined with the reduced speed settings may work fine...

    Does anyone still use bio pellets?

    + 1 on cyano. Stopped shortly after I discontinued. Had similar experience in a prior tank.
