Sucks they went out of business they screwed me on a controller.
They make good skimmers but if ever need parts for it they would be hard to find because they aren't made anymore.
What I think I'm going to do is set my quarantine tank up. When I get one I'll put it in with some zoas and lps and see what happens. I if I can get some aiptasias I'll put them in to. Give it a little test run before I put it in the main tank.
Sponge never heard of a lawnmower eating zoas but...
I would use those holes for a closed loop setup run the return line up the back of the tank and over the side and in. If you use any of those hole for the return when you shut the pump off half the tank will drain out unless you use a check valve but I dont trust them. Or you could use two of...
I put 8 in there because I only have 5 aiptasia that I can see and that's what they recommended. They are not cheap and its pretty much you put them in and hope for the best cuz you never see them. They aren't hard to breed just have to keep them fed a 10 gallon full of aiptasia would work.
I'm going to give the Nudibranchs a week or two. Then I think I'm going to give one a try from what I've read they dont swim fast so they aren't hard to get out. Maybe I'll get lucky and it wont mess with my lps.
I would start by adding fish you need nitrates and phosphates for corals to grow. Especially zoas they like dirty water. I would add fish and stop doing weekly water changes only do monthly. Beef up your clean up crew like dave said and see what happens. As your tank matures and nitrates and...
Tried peppermint shrimp put 3 of them in there about 3 weeks ago haven't seen them since. I think my triggers ate them. Also tried Berghia Nudibranchs but it's only been a couple days so I'll see what happens with them. Tank is mainly sps plus I think they are cool looking fish. I would love a...
Anyone have any experience with one? Some people say they are reef safe some people say they aren't. I have a couple aiptasia in spots that I cant get to and want to get them before they spread.
It's a good dosing pump bluetooth controlled app is easy to use. I follow alot of saltwater guys on YouTube and I am surprised how many people you see using them.
On my nano I use a x1 dosing pump it works very well and it's only $59. I have one for alkalinity and one for calcium. You can daisy chain them together so you only need one plug.
