I sometimes get asked if it's okay to use Prazipro in food for treating intestinal worms, and up until now I never had a reason to say, "Don't do it." Until I read this: The effects of common solubilizing agents on the intestinal membrane barrier functions and membrane toxicity in rats. -...
How much sunlight is getting through the curtain? IME; natural sunlight can wreak havoc by causing unusual algae growth, bacterial blooms, etc. It's unfortunate but you must control the spectrum/amount of light in a closed system.
I appreciate that, but I really need is access to sick fish. Ich, velvet, brook, uronema, etc. Infected but not too far gone (it gets tricky). I might need to setup shop down the street from a Petco or something.
No DT - no time for one currently. :oo: But you have no idea how much I am looking forward to the day when all I have is a DT, and can just kick back & enjoy this hobby again.
I currently manage 10 QTs, 14 conditioning systems, and a frag tank in my wife's office (which looks horrible because I...
It's a bath treatment, but I really don't want to go into details until I know for sure what it does/does not do. I'm also experimenting with a bath that combines 3 different chemicals. But I need time to experiment with sick fish, document my findings, and be sure the results are repeatable. I...
We're moving after the holidays. I may reboot the business after we get settled, BUT I first want to test out something I've been working on which may eliminate the need for QT. I hate QT as much as everyone else. :p
First thing I do every morning is check on my QT room, feed, if fish are looking rough give dips/baths, etc.
Then I take a shower and head into my conditioning room. Feed, tank maintenance, bag up fish, etc.
After I get home from Fedex, I go back into the QT room for more husbandry.
This goes...

I have a friend with a 180 Aqueon, and so far so good. She's had it setup for 2 years now I think. I just feel there is a greater likelihood of a seam failing due to how sloppy the silicone is on most Aqueon tanks.
There are many discussions going on in the Facebook groups about this as well. Just confirms what many already suspected. I would also steer clear of any Marineland "Deep Dimension" tanks. If it's bigger than say 150 gallons, it's worth the extra $$$ to pay a company like Planet Aquariums to...
P.S. Prime can also be used with General Cure and antibiotics. However, I would avoid dosing Prime in conjunction with liquid Prazipro due to the solubilizing agent it contains.
First, a few disclaimers:
This only applies to using Seachem Prime with Copper Power.
I have not tested any other ammonia reducers with any other forms of copper. Seachem, for example, states right on their website that it is dangerous to mix any ammonia reducer with their Cupramine copper...
