Amen to that Sponge! Definitely want to go-I’m a yay but I may have to see when and how all my kids soccer is rescheduled. Or if we’re not allowed out of the house yet.
Thanks bud. For no good reason I like trying to find there names of the zoas, so anyone out there know these types?
Looks like the pink with blue oral cavity and yellow/green skirt are eagle eyes.
The yellow with light purple skirt and oral-maybe Chequitas?
And the red/blue, maybe fire and...
Excited about my new additions as well. Neon green goniopora, a large Duncan head, cornbred’s rainbow infusion paly, a beautiful yellow and purple paly and two colonies of zoas pictured below. One plug of zoas that haven’t opened aren’t here. When they open I’ll update.
That sea fan is nice! I came away with a surprise yellow paly, only one polyp, but if it grows out I’ll hook you up Paulie.
I love zoas but can’t figure them out-some do great in my system and others wither away.
Wow, glad I read this as I prepare to set up a 125. I didn’t think external would be recommended but I’m glad to hear it is. Thanks for the thread rrspike and good luck!
I did, and since moved it back to the original level. Went heavier on blue in both spots too, but not consistent. In each place, each lighting I've seen brief pops of turquoise and typical coloring as well.
Sponge gave me some of these for a friend and a bunch for a school I work at and they are all doing great; active and nice looking, and they eat constantly. In the school they're in a tank with fairly large cichlids, and there is no aggression whatsoever, the plecos are out and about and are...
I added my first several weeks ago....thought it had attached to a rock I had put in just for it, then went downstairs to find it being sucked into my pump; I got there just in time. Had moved that rock in so it would stay away from my coral, which worked forr two days, when I found it had...
Awesome, I like it. If you thin it out regularly I don’t see how it’s a problem. My chaeto grows great in a 10-gallon hob fuge and it doesn’t tumble. I always get good growth and it stays green other than whatever floats to the surface and gets singed by the light.
I think in a seahorse...
Congrats again, glad an active member won and hats off to John for hosting a great event and delivering on a really grand prize. Good luck with your back, hope you have a complete and quick recovery, and I hope you and your wife have fun reefing that xxl!
So I moved my Superman rhodactis and within a day I see these turquoise bubbles popping up on them. I hope the pictures show it well enough. Pic with the royal gramma is weeks before the move (before it split) for comparison.
Not much....it’ll be a slow process. Picking up some more rock from @NikkiT today (thanks!) and I’ll cure that along with the rock I got from Herbie a while back. Found a glass guy in town to contact about drilling. Researching sumps and plumbing and all. My goal is to get it set up over...
