DON"T USE COAST TO COAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had them build my 8ft in wall about 8 years ago. Even spent the extra coin and had them do the front panel in starphire glass. All seemed fine when I first had the tank set up. Well after I drained the tank for a scroching case of dino's i noticed that...
Not sure what you mean by my take on the drain valves. this is an old pic but I have the overflow box setup with the herbie pipes and I just use the 2 drain valves to adjust the height of the water inside the box. tank runs dead silent! I will try to get some better pics.
Used their grunge about 15 yers ago and my tank never looked better. Bought a 10lb. bag of their grunge back in the spring to seed my tank. No problems.
I live in Northern NJ, Hunterdon County. When I hosted a meeting back about 10-12 years ago I got nearly 60 people to attend. I wouold be willing to host another meeting, although my tank is just getting cycled now. Let me know if you guys are interested.

Hey guys! I'm in the process of choosing an ATO. My question is, which of the 2 brands have the longest leads from the control box to the sensors in the sump. I have my sump under the tank in the standard spot, but have my control panel about 10ft. from the sump. Then I have my storage...
Actually Bill, the wife is trying to talk me into sand this time. Seeing as how she is funding the tank this time around, I may have to give in. I just keep reminding her it's going to cost about $250 for sand, and then she will basically have a septic field in her tank. LOL!
I'm thinking pretty close to 100lbs. Shelf, base (cut flat on 1 side), round. The stuff is grea! The possibilties are endless. Alot of the round stuff I busted up with a hammer to get some really cool shapes. Then used marco cement to glue it all together.
