Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Carbon dosing will remove any amount of nutrient you have in the water easily. Just need to make sure you have a good skimmer. I no longer use GFO it only removes phosphate then what are you going to do with nitrate.
I have a few years back. The mail order operation of PetCo is not the same as the stores. Fish were delivered directly from the distributors Petco just do the money transaction. So in a sense similar to LiveAquaria.
Leopard wrasses are more resist to disease compare to others, the key is to get it to eat. I never QT my fish let alone performing any copper treatment.

Haha I used to be the non-commital type as far as coral placement. Now I glue them down as soon as I got them. Can always move later and corals seem to do better glued down especially SPS.
As for urchin I have a bigger pincushion and love it.
I have a fish trap in Aberdeen but I don't think it will work for you. Flashlight in the dark with a small net is the best way to get hard to catch fish. Do it an hour or so after dark.
Thanks Juan and Wilson. @ericrodriguez It's an MP40. After experiment for a while I use the short pulse mode mostly @70%. The Mag seems to like the wave motion. SPS are growing faster now especially these in the tank for a while. Plan to take a while every few months to compare the growth.
Tank is getting better after eliminating the hair algae. SPS has shown some growth. Rearranged right side of the tank to accommodate the new H. Magnifica. I think I am all set for a while and will let the corals fill in.
For us reefers, not worth the admission. but kids probably enjoyed it.
