Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I bought a used unit which has a pressure gauge. If you have the space it's worth it to upgrade. The recommended pressure is at least 40 psi. The lower pressure could be either coming from the faucet or a spent sediment filter. You can buy a pressure gauge standalone also.
Well I forgot about how to do this so started with about 3ml/25gal. Have about 0.2ppm of PO4 and the nitrate is pretty high.
@redfishbluefish Do you use a special tubing to dose the vodka/vinegar cocktail? I have the semi-rigid tubing came with the pump. Would be nice to have it setup.
Old thread but I started the DIY NOPOX again. Overnight the tank water is already cloudy. Anyone still doing this? Don't hear about this much. Years ago it's all BP and NOPOX.
Eric - thanks. good to know in a pinch I can get some. I saw a Ritteri in good shape but I know I need the med so I didn't pull the trigger. Need to get a QT setup also but a 20 tall or 10 will do.
Upgraded to a new RO unit so have the RO buddy available for free. It's fairly new. All the filters have life in them still producing 0 TDS water but you will need to get replacements soon. Membrane is good. I installed a flush valve it cleans the membrane before each use.
Pick up in Aberdeen.
Thanks Mark. Very appreciated. Looking for a 20 tall actually to use as an ATO container or qt for a future nem. Do want the dragon breathe. Can meet at pnc and you’re definitely welcome to check out the tank!
