Lots to update!
Since my last posts, I added in the frag rack and relocated all of the old rock to the sump, saving as much of the coral off them as possible. I've also picked up a few frags and have moved some over from my 5G nano.
My friend who had my vacumn finally returned it as well, so...
I always run a grounding probe In my systems. With the new tank that I just got, I had to throw almost all the equipment out because it was leaking voltage.
I went to put my hand in the tank and jumped out if my skin when I did. Got quite the shock. Was caused by a heater and two powerheads...
Thanks!
Also, I was just playing around in Photoshop and realized just how easy it is to COMPLETELY change the look of a coral in a photo.
Both of these are the same coral. The first is with very minimal editing and the second is straight out of the camera.
Scary.

Just bought these beauties off Facebook today. Reef stuff, especially livestock, is definitely cheaper out here. Only $36 for both of these [emoji44]
I've also been accumulating a bunch of other frags and such since my last post. Still waiting for the UPS store to open up on Monday so I can...
I've always liked just going with the instant ocean salt. I usually get a 200 gallon box which will last a long time.
Redsea is a good brand as is fritz, but they're too pricy for me.

The UPS store at campus has been shut down so I haven't been able to get at it yet.
I have used a dc-10000 on my 90 gallon back in NJ for 2+ years no with zero issues, however.

I just added the first rounds of frags to the system. Someone nearby was tearing their tank down and for $20 let me grab whatever was left. I picked up a bunch of little SPS rubble, some decent chunks of montipora, a few zoa colonies, and two little toadstool leathers.
I also took his chromis...
Just got back from running some errands today and pieced together a durso standpipe. I had to shut the sump off last night because it sounded like I had Niagra falls in my room.
Also just added two pepperimt shrimp and an emerald crab to try and combat some of the pests in this system.
I did...
Got the radion properly installed and all of the wires more organized than just hanging out of the front of the stand. I'm waiting on all my BRS and Amazon orders to come in now in order to really get the tank where I want it.
Still not sure how I am going to get rid of the hundreds or even...
Unfortunately I already left NJ again. I do actually have about 100 lbs of live rock curing right now though. Let me see if my parents would be willing to do the trade for me.

As stated in my last post, I just bought the RMS tank Mount for the light. this is the command strips and fishing line we're just a temporary solution.
I actually lucked out and don't have a roommate, so my dorm can safely be turned into my little fishroom haha.

As promised, some pics. Just got the montipora in and the sump connected today. My new power heads arrived, but I can't pick them up until tomorrow.
Right after writing this, I am leaving to go pick up the tank mount for my radion.

I bought PVC and eggcrate today to start building the frag rack and a couple hundred in goodies have been ordered from BRS.
I'm also picking up a large montipora colony later today that I want to use as a grow out and to start making some frags.
More updates to come!

Had a very fun, very long day working on this tank today.
I drove down to Tuscon and met up with the man I was buying the system from at his office where it was located. It was a local CBS branch, which I found pretty interesting.
The teardown went very smoothly, and everything was packed up...
Yeah, yours is way less dense than mine. My colony is basically one large chunk of coral.
Pic for reference. It is usually even more inflated than this.

I use 100 micron mesh socks. I feel like it's the best balance between amount of filtration and time between replacement. I've got 4 that I rotate in an out, watch staying in for about 3 days.

Here are some images from about 3-4 days after I set the tank back up. Everything was doing well and seemed to be on the track to recovery.
Unfortunately, I am back in Arizona and am unable to take care of the tank again, so it's in the hands of my parents again now.

Just got back to AZ last night to a seriously in trouble tank. Due to no auto top off, the tank was very low and the return pump was running dry.
I cleaned everything up, did as large a water change as I could, and set it all back up as well as installed the tunze nano ATO that I brought back...
