I agree. Got my first package from these guys yesterday. Really feels like some old man running out to his beach and taking a handful of stuff in his local tidal pool..but I am very happy with what i got. I would do business with again.
All seriousness..I did lock myself in the bathroom for about 3 minutes. It felt like one of those horror movies with the killer trying to get in. And just like the stupid kid in the horror movie, I opened the door too soon after it went quiet!!! She landed a few good shots but she did calm down.
The next installment is the tank itself. This is a Seapora 48x24x16, 80 gallon rimless reef ready. My wife walked in and went off her rocker..for all of three minutes. She went up one side of me and down the other. It was WAY too big for her liking. When she finally calmed down and when...
Ok. Just got back from Sea Level. WOW. For those of you who have not gone...i recommend it. Immaculate shop, gorgeous showpieces. Cool guys. A little pricey. Was two hour one way trip for me and I am willing to do it again. Cant wait until my new tank is up and running so I can fill it...
if you are not planning on using the end cap channels for the LEDs, i do think you might be able to get both cords on one side as each end cap has two channels. Dont hold me to this as I am NOT going to take it apart and find out..but I am sure if you are mechanically inclined..it could be done.
Ok. Just assembled the Aquatic Life 48" hybrid 4x54w (non dimmable version)
Pros:
Well put together
Well packaged (even for an open package)
Good machining and fitting parts
Elegant (for a 4 foot monstrosity)
There were actually a few spare screws for each screw type.
Cons:
The only way of...
Figured I would start out with my tale of the tank. After almost two months of trying to get a tank, I finally have one coming tomorrow so the build is about to begin. Thanks #SeaLevelAquarium for selling me one that you were going to use for your store.
The basic of the build (ie...all that...
I stopped going to the hidden reef. Tanks full of Cyano and Dinos. Coral selection is sad. I was trying for over a month to get a reef tank from them and finally gave up. I truly hope they turn it around. Heading up to Sea Level next week to pick up my new tank! Might pick up a few coral...
Thanks for the response. Interesting. I watched a couple of videos. Some directly treat in tank, others remove others dose. Any recommendations? Unfortunately as it has spread, removing and treating is not longer a realistic option.
I believe this is ‘beard algea’. It’s long, bushy, feathery and is of a blackish color. I’ve tried taking out and scrubbing the affected piece but the stuff keeps coming back and it is spreading. Got an emerald crab and it doesn’t seem to like it. Phosphates reasonably low. 0.25, nitrates at 5...
About to start a build. Currently have a Red Sea 50 on my nano and am happy with the performance and how it looks. Wondering if the 90’s ever go on sale and if worth waiting. (Looking at you @Premiumaq ).
Honestly..he is such a great guy. Has 4-5 gorgeous tanks. Its worth the $10 just to take a peek at his set ups. Its like $10 tour of beauty with a Xenia frag as a parting gift basket!!! :D
