Here's 2 more tiny pistol shrimp and a mystery work? And a big feather duster as well.

    Live rock vs dry rock

Any signs of bobbits? I had alot of them. I'm sure there's more but I plan on doing another high salinity dip over the weekend to see what else comes out. I have some kind of bivalve or something climbing up the side of the bucket. No clue what it is but pretty cool to find.

    Live rock vs dry rock

I'm sure I won't get everything out but I'll do my best. I know I showed alot of pests which probably scares alot of people but that's nothing compared to the good stuff I've found. There's so many sponges, feather dusters even large ones, what looks like a bunch of coral on a few pieces...

I would love to see some pictures of your 400 gallon and the aquascape. Do you have a build thread anywhere?

Thanks for sharing your experience. When you mention petco rock do you mean live rock from their systems or dry rock?

    Live rock vs dry rock

I think I'm covered on rock for the new tank. Sorry to hear your son is getting out of the hobby. I had to leave for a few years but I couldn't wait to get back into it.

    Live rock hitchhikers

I'm sure I'll be finding other stuff. This rock has so much life its unreal. Like nothing I've ever seen before.

    Live rock hitchhikers

Pending pickup. They have the white ring so they're bobbit worms. There is an oddball which is lighter in color so that may be a medusa or something else I'm not really sure.

    Yellow coris wrasse

I never had issues with my silver belly but he ended up getting hurt and passing before growing too large. His behavior was near identical to my yellow coris. The coris may scavenge the sand a bit better but that's it. Both are Halichoeres

Looks like a silver belly wrasse to me, beautiful fish. Here's my yellow coris.

    Live rock hitchhikers

Yes still available. I have the bobbits and crabs in a sandwich bag in the bucket with the live rock and I moved the 4 pistol shrimp to my sump for now so their separate from the worms. I'm not sure how long I can keep the eunice worms like this or if there's a better way to keep them...

    Live rock hitchhikers

I hear the 4 pistol shrimp I found clicking like crazy. I tossed them in my sump. I know there's plenty of stuff that is still in the rocks and I'm excited to see what comes out. I have a spare 20 gallon sitting around that I may grab a stand for tomorrow and set it up to observe. Right now I...

    Live rock hitchhikers

Just got some live rock in today with some less than desirable hitchhikers. Bobbits, pistol shrimp, some odd crabs and a peppermint shrimp. I may keep the peppermint. Free if anybody wants them. I'd hate to flush them as they're pretty cool but they aren't making the cut in my tank. Pickup brick...
