I did mod my ASM myself before I got the Deltec. I did the recirc mod to it, added a drain to the cup and of course the gate valve. They were all pretty easy, and it worked great. I just came across a really good deal on the Deltec.

Lighting upgrade: 3 Lumenarc minis 250w phoenix 14k - Lumatek ballasts - 4 Ati superplue 39w driven to 54w with icecap 660.

IMO, it makes the 660 very desireable. So you change the bulbs every year instead of 18 months. I'm going to be using a 660 for my 4 - 39watt ATI bulbs which will be running at 50 - 54 watts. Also using 2 icecap fans for cooling.

I like the Phoenix 14k for a little blue look, the Aqualine AB 10k for a very white look.

Also keep in mind that the 660 will run your 54w bulbs at about 80 watts, the bulbs should be cooled and their life will be shortened. that said, you can't beat the icecap, I love mine.

He is totally lost. My 4" female comes over every once in a while and just looks at him and rolls on her side than goes back to her carpet. At least she's not trying to kill him...yet.

I thought about it and decided to get a good all around lense instead of a macro. This is the one I chose and a couple quick pics with it. I'll play around with it more this weekend...

Mike, My PH was at 8.1 with just the kalk reactor. I added my Ca reactor anyway and just kept an eye on it for a couple weeks. It's still at 8.1. I have the effluent from the Ca reactor dripping into the far end of my fuge. It has to get through a huge ball of chaeto before it gets to the return...

I tried catching him for 2 days, wouldn't come anywhere near me. This morning she pretty much finished him off and than dragged him into her Haddoni. Within seconds there was nothing but a tail sticking out of the anemones mouth. Mother nature at her most evil I guess.

Thanks. The Nikon 105mm lenses on ebay are a little overpriced, after emailing back and forth they all want 600 and up for a used one without thr vr. I'm just going to order the one with vr, it's only 100 - 125 more for a new one.

I've been doing a little researc and I think I'm going to try to find a Nikon 105 without the vr. It's no longer available but, there's always a few on Ebay.
