I have a couple dosing kalk and they work great. They are cheap enough that if they brake you can replace them. I have one on a 20g dosing all for reef.

Halides are dead technology. If you are buying lights get leds. it going to be hard to get bulbs and maintain a hailide fixture. if you don’t want to spend the money on led you can buy t5. Halides are not magic. You can grow corals with led with no problems.
