I picked up a biota Aptasia eating filefish from TSM today. It's been in the tank for about 2 hours and have seen it already test out several corals as well as taken several bites of a gorgonian. Giving it one last shot before sumping it.
Don't know what else to do. I'm losing my mind
Reviving this thread bc I still have a severe outbreak of aptasia. I try to regularly get them all with Aptasia X which works for a few days and then it seems like they double.
I had a peppermint shrimp in my sump that ate all the Aptasia in the sump. I moved it to the display. I've seen it...
Finally got the tank set up and running. Only lost one coral. (A wall hammer).
Wanted to add a secondary light and stretch the bar. I used 1/2 steel black pipe to make the mounts. Came out awesome. Love the way this tank came out.
They're pretty shy fish to begin with and it's probably getting bullied by the red Cori's wrasse every time it comes out so that's probably why it never comes out. Poor thing
Made some progress yesterday and today. Had to empty the old tank so I could drag it. Had no help so it was a pain to move both tanks alone. But finally got the new tank in place. Got the last things I needed, built the lid and added sand. Started filling but I can only make around 30g at a time...
Small steps after not doing anything for weeks. Got sides of the stands done. Plumbing done. (janky but it'll work).
Now I need to figure out some way to mount lights and lid. Any and all ideas welcome
Thank you but Unfortunately you guys are a little far from me. I'm in 07712. I only need the tank to mock up the plumbing for my new tank. I don't want to keep it
Anybody have a 20g long tank I can borrow for a few days to mock up plumbing for my new tank?
Will return once done. I just don't wanna buy one bc I don't actually need another tank

The stand is hideous. I don't know how to make it prettier. The stand for my 40b came from @Hockeynut and it's beautiful and fits with my house decor. This thing looks like absolute trash.
