Yours looks like it could be Dino’s. What I did to best that was 3 day blackouts and leave the tank as dirty as possible to outcompete the Dino’s. Took me about 2 months to beat
I’m not home right now when I get home I will check my phosphates. If my phosphates are still in the .12 area do I still need to dose phosphates. I am aiming for .03/.04. I also think my phosphates readings could be false since I have an algae issue I am dealing with that could be consuming my...
I don’t wanna keep dumping different chemicals in to take care of the issue I’m just gonna go slow and continue My carbon dosing. I went against my better judgment and dosed fluconazole and I don’t know if that had any effect on my tank but it didn’t kill the Lyngba. So now I’m just going to...
That stinks. Just do what I did if your close to the ocean. Drive to a nearby jetty and grab clumps of sea lettuce off of the rocks. Within those clumps you will have thousands of pods.
I am also now carbon dosing since my nitrates are off the charts high and my phosphates are elevated. Not sure if that has anything to do with this Lyngba.
Ugh. I hate it! Same as you I have tried several things but it’s still there. Nobody touches it. The only luck I had so far was removing the one rock and giving it a peroxide bath, but I refuse to tear the tank down to clean every rock. I hear once it starts dying the CUC will devour it. I...
That’s what I thought I checked it two times and I cleaned out the glass vials with RODI water thinking maybe some was left over but I still got the same 80+ nitrate ppm result
Only major thing I did was remove one rock and spray it with peroxide last weekend, but I gave it a RODI bath Other than that nothing since I was in Florida for a 1.5 weeks. I used to dose nitrates also which I also stopped doing a few weeks ago.
I have a Skimz Sp207. It is def oversized for my tank. Will research carbon dosing. Not sure what’s involved with that.I’m so confused right now since I was dosing nitrates for a while because I couldn’t keep them in my tank. Now I’m no longer dosing and the nitrates are super high. I hope I...
