    Off the marine pure topic.. but I just received 2 blue mandarins from LA. Both came in a little under an inch, but eating baby brine that I got from Absolutely. Tossing in a couple of flakes and pellets at the same time as brine feeding, hoping they'll associate them with food.. so far so good...

    If it's accessible and not too close to the actual coral, I usually syringe boiling water on it. A couple of pumps and it just melts away. Angle it so the water drains away from the coral.. haven't had any come back so far.
