Since I’ve gotten my apex and trident and up running it’s been very interesting watching the levels of my tank fluctuate. I’ve been able to nail down my alk, calcium and magnesium levels pretty good. I have the apex DOS and that makes it fairly easy to do.
But, my PH levels will go from 7.66 -...
Since adding a doser to my tank I switched containers that I store my alk and calcium in. Right away I noticed that my alk has a lot of sediment that sits on the bottom. I dose Red Sea alk and calcium. My doser is set up to add 25ml of alk a day and the hose is all the way at the bottom of the...
I finally bit the bullet and bought a Apex Neptune 832 with the trident, the doser and the DDR. I got a good package deal on eBay and couldn’t resist it. So here’s my question: Do I have to use the DDR to store my alk and calcium? Is the DDR any better than using normal alk and calcium...

The seller wants $950 for the bundle. Is this a...
As it turns out my Hannah checker went bad. I never could get a reading above 7.8 no matter how much I dosed my tank. So I ordered a new one on Amazon and my first test showed a reading of 8.0 and the old one showed 7.0
I dont have immediate access to a different test kit. My tank is a 65 gallons with a 29 gallon sump. Total water approximately 80 gallons. No I don’t dose at the same time. I usually wait about 15 minutes in between dosing alk and calcium. My tank is mainly lps, soft coral, mushrooms and...
For the past few months I’ve had no problem keeping my alk and calcium at the proper levels. I could manually dose my tank 5 ML of alk and 3 ML of calcium a day and my levels would be around 8.3 and 420.
Than last week I went on a weeks vacation and my stepdaughter looked after my tank for me...
