I have a nice sunburst Yuma coral that I’ve had for about 6 weeks now. Out of nowhere it’s staring to peel off the rock that it was once attached too. My tank is healthy and my parameters are all in check. Any reason why this maybe happening?

How long does a pouch last till it expires?

Well I got one more rack to finish off my tank. The first one I bought last week got me thinking that I needed one more. This one is from aqua rocks and can hold ten frags with a good but if space in between. It’s about 7x7 inches and cost $75.

Just wanted to show everyone a frag rack that I just bought on eBay. I wanted to get something that blends in with my tank and rock scape. I’m quite happy with it. I cost me $45 shipped and was here in about three days.

So last night I changed my filter sock and carbon and it has definently helped. My skimmer is slowly coming back to normal. Is skimming like it should but with the Valve all the way closed. Usually I leave the valve about halfway open. Thanks guys

I will change the carbon today. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that myself. I have my weekly water change scheduled for Monday. Hopefully I don’t have to wait that long and it will correct itself by than with some new carbon

On Monday I used about a third of a stick of reef putty to secure some of my new frags. Since than my skimmer has gone crazy. I raised it up an inch or two and it has helped slightly. It is now no longer overflowing but it’s still not skimming properly. Any other advice in what I can do to...

Hockey, what do you store the dirty ones in? I put mine ina plastic shopping bag. After about three weeks one appeared to have mold growing in it. I definitely don’t want that in my tank

Can you add carbon to them as well? Meaning, is there enough space for both carbon and floss? Also if i order them should I get just one or should I get a couple? I don’t know if they break easily or possibly for other reasons.

I’ve never heard of a floss cup till now. Looks like they make things a whole lot easier.

We went to Dave’s yesterday and left very, very happy! That small acan colony you gave me is awesome. Under my lights it’s like a hot pinkish / peach color. You can easily see that thing from across the room. Can’t wait for the next frag sale!!!

Thanks guys. I like the approach. I’m going to monitor the levels and see if they bounce around. If they don’t bounce around I will Do nothing and if they do drop I will begin dosing slowly in small amounts

I do weekly water changes and will monitor the levels. I will Probably test the day before the water change and right after water change. I use brightwell salt mix and it should be around 7.5. Hopefully it doesn’t dip any lower.

I just got he Hannah Alk test kit and my tank is sitting at 6.8. Ive read you want to keep them around 7-10. Should I start dosing my tank or leave it as is. It’s pretty close to 7 and I’m hoping close enough. What do you guys think?
