I also have a TDS meter on my rodi unit and a aquatic life smart buddie booster pump as well. My tds meter currently reads 240 after the first three prefilters and 0 after the resin filter.
After testing my ro water I read that those tests are not always accurate with just fresh water. So I tested a recent batch of salt water mix made on Monday and it’s reading .29ppm. That’s high... what is it more likely coming from the salt mix or my RO unit? Like I said before my tds meter...

The kit that I bought, which was the one the store recommended is phosphate our.. so that’s better. My phosphates are .24. I put my rowa phos back in and also the carbon. Any other suggestions? Is it time to dose nitrates ? If so what’s the preferred method?
I went out and bought two Hanna test kits today and my phosphates are .77 and my nitrates are 4.44. Does that seem too low? Is this what my problem could be?
So I just took my carbon and rowaphos out of my sump. I’m also going to order the Hanna phosphate and nitrate test kits. I hate charging these items but I think it’s worth the investment. I don’t like the test kits that are color coded. From what I hear the Hanna test kits are the most...
Looking for some advice. My tank is 9 months old and I have approximately 80 gallons of water. It’s a 65 gallon tank with a 29 gallon sump. In my sump I have 10lbs of miracle mud, some rubble rock and chaeto. I run carbon in my filter sock and rowa phos in between the baffles in my sump. I...
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for commenting on my post. I went ahead and bought the aquatic life booster pump. I went from making five gallons of water in about three hours to five gallons in 1.5 hours. My pressure gauge reads between 80-90 psi when in use. This thing is nice and...
