Paul you are right about the "12v power supply " instead of resistor. My diy ato I went straight 120v and no 12v power supply.

I've built one myself and used it on my previous setup for almost 2 years and it never failed, I'm currently using the Tunze on my new setup and it has failed like 4 times in less than 2 months due to the optical sensor getting dirty. I've been thinking about switching the Tunze for my DIY one...

What about the water pressure to the pump? Can the pump suck the water from the container? It looks like you need to send me some pics buddy, lol.
