That’s my concern with the black box led’s. A lot of them recommend that you hang them 2’ off of the tank for maximum spread, I don’t plan on doing that. That’s why I want the t5’s to help with light distribution.

I I wanted the 44” and probably still would’ve had room but it was about savings and I had a hard enough time getting the 36” in so the 44” would’ve been much harder.

Thanks for the update! The tank is looking great now you’re making me wish I went with the 180. The 2’ deep tank really adds depth and you’re rockscape is really cool too. Looking forward to seeing the coral grow out and fill it up.
