I upgraded to a reef octopus hob-90 and have had some problems with it. A few months ago the pump jammed because a snail snuck in; I disassembled and cleared it out, then it was working fine. A couple of weeks ago it overflowed badly, emptying the tank to the level of the intake overnight...

I've read that frag plugs are an area that aiptasia often can be attached to. Technique depends on the type of coral (though not doing damage is not my specialty lol)
Great question. QT definitely is best practice but like most others I don’t. I dip and then rinse in tank , and lately I’ve taken to a short freshwater dip as well (only one minute). I prefer to remove from frag plugs if possible.
I like getting small frags and having them grow in over time. Not only keeps the cost down but leaves room for the reef to grow in.
