What is the proper way to level the stand?
If it is level from front to back and side to side, is that good? Or should I put the level on diagonal from corner to corner as well?
And when using shims, it obviously creates gaps down the length of the stand, so do all of those gaps need to be...

Ok...so I finally got the foam and made a mess in the basement. Little foam balls EVERYWHERE!!
The foam is finally on the stand!!
Next is to move the stand back into position, level the stand and get the tank up onto the stand.
I hope to have the rock in the tank by the end of the week!!

I haven't had a chance to work on the tank much...been super busy with the NY TV Festival stuff. But hopefully this coming week I'll be able to get the tank on the stand, plumbed and rock in.

I don't believe these are cultured clams. I'm getting them from restaurant depot.
So usually the wild clams have a lot of sand in them.
So I'm buying 300 clams for Wednesday's Giants season opener and we are looking to steam them in some white wine, garlic, shallot, etc. What's the best way to get the sand out of 300 fresh clams?
