Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
You can move the water line fairly close to the top of the skimmer cup but be careful of overflow, other than that it will produce what it's going to produce. What I did notice with my reef Octo was when I had zero nitrates it didn't pull a lot out, I did wind up dosing them for a bit and with...
I'm not sure why they cover one but I don't think it's going to help airflow much by opening it. The only adjustment you'll have is the valve to adjust the level, other than that not much else you can do.
Trachyphyllia geoffroyi, it doesn't swell up like a Welso, and right now looks to be in a bit rough condition so it will swell even less, that's what I'm sticking with
The difference I believe is the sensor, I have the bigger one and it's great, the main lvl sensor is optic, and also comes with a float switch as a backup. I think the pump may be bigger as well, I've had mine for 2 years with no issue, the only problem people really have with it is if you kill...
With plastic I think you use fiberglass resin, but not positive, it's been 10 years since I did body work. You'll want to grind into the crack to get a good repair
My story was more meant to say the kole tang was an a-hole, the blue and sailfin are passive, but the sailfin keeps the kole in line. Just have to judge the fish and go from there
I had a kole and idol in there for a while, when I removed the idol (he was eating some lps) the kole went for everything in the tank including the lamarks angel, I had to turn the lights off for a day or two just so he would leave him along for a bit, I then went and picked up a larger sailfin...
@TheEngineer i have a question you probably haven't gotten before, but I'd like to bring my step kids with me to this possibly, but it's their dads weekend. If I were to bring them and their dad, would we be considered a family and pay 15 or family plus one and pay 25 to get in?
Depends on your tank size, you didn't mention that, my 135 right now houses a yellow eyed kole, blue, and sailfin all in there nice and happy, they are also fed like pigs as well
I don't know honestly, my coral seemed upset by it, and when I checked parameters, dkh was like 6 and calcium was low as well, something like 300-340 on a fresh mix, now my mixed saltwater stays in a container for a few weeks but it's sealed and that shouldn't make a difference, it was tested...
Well, just figured I'd update a bit, my work hours recently went to 7am to 7:30pm and I'm no longer working from home, so time for me is short anymore, lol. Having some issues with certain corals still, trying a few things to turn that around, mostly changing my salt back from the aquaforest...
