Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Heaters....can't live with them, can't live without them. Fortunately, I've never had any major issues with one. I've always used a Pinpoint controller with them(not trusting the built in thermostats), and would replace them every two years or so, moving the older one into my WC Brute can(where...
If you have to manually dose go ahead and do it, but keep track of how much you're adding so you can calculate your ultimate dosage. WC's will have an impact as well, since you're adding/replenishing those elements with each WC. You can expect some trial and error with this process.
Yeah, if they still made them today like they did in 1970, I wouldn't have this dilemma. Having said that, I've settled on the Marlin 336BL in a .30-30 for now, with the hopes that Remington/Marlin(aka Remlin) has resolved their production/QC problems.
PS Merry Christmas
I used to get an increase of ~ .1 - .2 pH units from using it, and only used it when it was too cold or hot to open windows in the house. I used to buy it in 5 gal. buckets here. I had DIY'd an RO canister and had to refill it weekly. You have to watch it since it will turn to violet when it...
Since I broke my system down a couple years ago due to health reason, and sold the boat last spring, I've decided I need to start....actually re start another hobby. I haven't been hunting, or even shooting for many years, in fact the last weapon I shot was my M-14(obviously its been a while)...

Thank you for your service Mark, great story. I've fished many of these reefs, in the south, since the late '80's, and never new a background story of any of the vessels that have been placed on the reef(s). Here is information about the project, the Tamaroa will probably be included, with...
I've also had them in my system(s) for many years without any problems. In fact IPSF sells them(Comet Stars) @ 6 for $19.95. Although they are known to be a reef safe variety.
Corallimorphs, aka mushrooms, etc. There are many other species with more desirable coloration, etc., but they all can become somewhat invasive. The pulsing Xenia I see, can also get out of hand if left unchecked.
Corallimorphs
The Shroom Room reminds us why we love Corallimorphs so much -...
Whenever I have a "head scratcher", I start with the basics. Are you sure you have 0 TDS in your RO/DI water? Following good practices when making up your WC water? Have you made any changes lately, i.e. salt mix, etc. Make sure all tests, i.e. kits/devices are working properly, i.e. proper...
