Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
My big thing with controllers is that i don't really understand what their whole purpose is. Is it to be able to remotely turn things on and off? Wouldn't a simple smart power strip also work for that? Or is there something else that sets them apart that makes them worth the large price tag?
Anyone on here have both and can explain which is better in their own personal opinion/experience?
From what i have read, Apex has more stuff available at the moment bc it's been out longer. While Hydros has better technology, more affordable, and works with other products and not just coralvue...
That's some pretty hard core conspiracy theory. As a society, throughout history, technology is what has help keep us moving forward. Idk about you but i much prefer sending a text to someone over sending a guy on horseback to deliver a letter. If done right, automation is great. Makes life...
Like everyone else said. If you're keeping softies, you can get away with very little to no water changes. But LPS and SPS are more demanding. If you wish to do no water changes, you could do something like the Reef Moonshiners method where you get ICP tests done and put it into a calculator...
I do agree but i am always a little hesitant about buying stuff online. I much prefer to give my money to local businesses. (or in this case, fellow reefers in NJ). Plus I've been burned before by pages i hadnt heard of before.
Hey guys! I know there's some of you on here who do 3D printing. I'd love to invest in one but i can't yet.
I was looking at these plugs and i thought they were neat. Anyone on here able to print them?
I would cut the PVC for the return and do soft tubing. Doesn't have to be much i would do just a little bit below the 90° and do it from there. You'll get vibration noise otherwise.
