Who doesn't love pods? That's why I've been culturing tig pods recently (it helped that i already had multiple Phyto stations set up) it's awesome. Recommend to everyone here
Everything he said was 100% right. The calcium reactor you won't need until you have more demanding corals like sps. When you get to the point where water changes just aren't cutting it, you can start dosing. Calcium reactors are nice, but unnecessary at the beginning (most people don't ever buy...
I have a bunch of medications so I'm good on that. I am currently QT'ing a fish so I don't wanna add another fish and restart the clock. Plus, I've lost a couple wrasses I've tried QT'ing and would hate to lose more fish since they're so hard to qt
Do a quick iodine dip, put him in low flow, low light. I have a 2 really nice lobos (my favorite coral and I'm trying to collect them and I've brought them back from near death when i got them)
So I have 2 ai prime 16s on my tank. But there are some dark spots. I like the idea of hybrid lighting. But they seem to be pretty pricey and I'd probably buy more Leds before spending $400+ on the whole thing

The prices are always going up in this hobby unfortunately. And COVID has only made it so much worse. A Jebao pump i bought back in January of last year was $40. They're now at $90+

What are some places that i can buy fish already quarantined? (I tried TSM but they're sold out)
Do you have any pictures of the full tank? I've been looking at the SCA's (because of price) but don't know if they're good quality and worth the money or if I should save
If you're gonna culture you can only do one strain per container. You can mix them when you're gonna use them but if you culture them in the same container, one will take over and you'll end up with just the one that's "stronger"
I would have someone else check the nitrates. Its very odd that you have 0 while at the same time having such high phosphates. Both of those will bother corals. Neophos will get your nitrates up easily without also adding phosphates which you need to avoid.
I know motorcycles are different. I was responding to the "get a fast car" comment. I love the look of the Harley iron 883 (not a fan of the other type of harleys.). I do like riding relatively quick so I'm not sure where to begin looking. I can tear a car apart no problem and a really good...
