Well I went away April 4th and returned April 13th. April 4th the Diamond decided to jump through the screen top, how I don't know. He was bigger than the holes! Either way he cooked himself in a short time until he was seen that morning.
I had set everything up and did a normal 5G change...
Well a month in and the Wrasse has been good. Took a few days to chill out but they all get along now. Added a Diamond Goby yesterday and hes doing well. Needed someone to keep up on the sand, maybe more sand then I hoped. Haha. Ill never do the Oolite sand again.
Well its been a while since Ive posted. As always Ive been busy with life and work. I did add a McCoskers Wrasse a few weeks ago. Yesterday added a Diamond goby. Came out today OK, a bit sandy now. Haha
Pretty set on corals for a while. All are growing good and have a few frags Im holding...
Yes I can remove it as its on a small rock. All the zoas were mounted that way so they will only cover that rock. Ill do a dip now.
As to the levels, I am working on trimming back the fuge until I see a increase. I took out about 2 oz of new growth on Thurs and the levels have not rose. So...
Help. So the last few days my orange zoas have not seemed to be opening like they used to. From what I see today there is something growing or a film around the one side. They do open somewhat but never all at once.. 2nd shot is one that the neck is growing long and fat, is this normal or...
Well I started with a 1 oz amount a month ago and its grown 10x over. I have it in a flow through fuge basket in an AIO and never has it clogged or slowed flow. Its pretty hardy.
I think I need to take more out too as my nitrates are 0 daily and my Phosphates are at .01, Need to find that...
Well I can sit on the deck not make it flex. Its 5/4" solid wood top. It is a pretty substantial.. 3x5' It is an antique Drafting table. I did add 4 posts to the corners for additional support.
Tank is a 20 Gallon. IM Nuvo peninsula. Really wanted the unobstructed views. have to say I do love it. It sits on my desk!
I can see myself getting the new IM dropoff, Its a 70G Dreaming I suppose.
About 2 months in. Though my mess. Seems as my algae issue was caused by the sun hitting the tank. Shade closed and 3 days completly clear.
A few tank photos for fun. Look ma, no blues. Photo color adjusted in my phone settings.
Well an update on the Wrasse, He seems to have acclimated a little better with the Dottyback. They still swim in circles chasing sometimes. But all in all neither of them have bitten each other that i can see damage from and there is no fin damage. The Wrasse has openly swam more and have...
Thanks John, I really wish when I called AAC and the manager that answered had the same response. Owning 2 business of my own I always will give the shop a chance to work something out. I tried to net him last night to separate him and that didn't happen. It looks as the only way to get him...
So one of the fish I had been told that would be compatible with my tank and other fish was a McCosker Wrasse. I got one today from ACC. Got him home, acclimated and then did a drip. All went well until he met my Midnight Dottyback. The Wrasse took over the Dottybacks cave and chases him...
So I got back from my trip and set up the Fuge in from Algae Barn. Sea Lettuce and Marine Pure Spheres.. Also put in a CUC.
I also made up a spreadsheet so I can track the testing, Phyto and waterchanges
