Closet corals are sunset montipora and red sea xenia but don't appear to be touching

Hi Dave The flesh is dying and peeling off. It was growing like crazy and this started.

I raise my nitrates alittle just was holding off on water changes to get them up

It does not seem to be touching.

Monti on the left.

Always green but its growing out towards monti.

Its growing next to a sunset montipora could it be stinging it or monti's dont sting? I always thought chalice where more aggressive .

Still alot of new growth this appeared out of nowhere only thing thats off is calcium and iam slowly trying to rectify .

I have this chalice that's turning white and looks to like its dying off.water test revealed everything in spec but my calcium do to doser being left on so calcium is off the charts.i did a water change last Sunday and will do another tomorrow. Could this be due to high calcium levels? Alk 8.6...
