Holy crap polyfilter costs that much? You can get a beast reef octopus skimmer bh1000 HOB skimmer for $180. My 75g runs on it and it works fine. The trick IMO is making sure the amount of food that goes in is roughly the same as the what you are able to take out by skimming and water changes.

If you're near 08820 I have some gsp, green zooanthids, birdsnests, pocillopora, and monti caps. All are quite easy, just make sure you have enough light and your alkalinity and ca is at appropriate levels.
