What if you don’t change the water and just dump it back in? I’ve seen videos where they use a siphon and run it back through the filter sock in their sump therefore just filtering the water. Many people run their tanks without water changes and this way you can still siphon your sand bed...

thanks I guess I am going to have to play with it. I have another jebao pump that I’m going to have to play with to break up the flow like you said. I’m curious as to the filtration you have? I too want to take the lid off and put led’s but I’m not sure what to get yet. I wish they made an 18”...

Wow great tank! I was wondering is your tank bare bottom or sand? I’m cycling my 32 biocube and recently bought a jebao cross flow pump from Jgraz and love the pump but even at the lowest setting it’s pushing sand from the sides. Any suggestions? I’d rather not get rid of the sand if I don’t...

looking to buying a house need mortgage advice

I agree 4.6 is way too high for having that kind of credit score. Go with the conventional loan and pay the PMI. The PMI will go away once you’ve put 20% equity into the home.

Yes you are absolutely correct! I plan on getting Hannah Checkers to monitor the major trace elements. Would you recommend dosing more bacteria to get those up? Or maybe leave the filter media in and clean it less often? I’m just worried about Amon is spiking.

    New 32 gallon biocube

So I lost one of the clowns the other day but I’m a little baffled because my parameters seemed really good: 78 degrees 1.025 salinity 0 nitrates 0 ammonia 0 nitrites And 0 phosphates. The skimmer was putting a lot of micro bubbles in the tank so I have that off. Running chemipure elite and...

Good luck with the corals! I’ve been paying attention to your build as I put water in my tank about the same time you did. I have 2 fish in my tank but I may wait another month or so for coral to make sure water parameters are a little more stable.

Hello everyone, my name is Jamie Smith and I just happened to stumble across this site and happy I did! I’ve lived in NJ my entire life growing up on the shore in Manasquan. Growing up my parents were never into fish keeping but I had a friend who’s family had a corner freshwater tank and would...
