I just added one last weekend. I cant say that my water is much clearer but I havent had to clean my glass all week. I used to have to do it every two days. Going bare bottom on the other hand had done wonders for my water clarity.

Not sure of the scientific name but I know that as a banded rudder fish or that is least what we called it. I recall having some debate about it years ago but we never really pinned down what they were. I uesd to catch them starting this time of year off of jetties.

I think you can run any of them internally. My sump sits under a frag tank so I had height limitations.

Nope not a Beckett skimmer. Uses a traditional venturi or a mazzei. Doesn't seem to need a high pressure pump. I was really thinking about getting one but chickened out because it would have to be run external in my setup. They do seem to get pretty good reviews.
