Hi everyone,
As the title states does your LFS have Halloween hermit crabs or other big hermits?
I really like hermit crabs, the big ones in particular since I never see any of my small blue leg sized ones. I have one halloween hermit crab that I got locally, and now that I've figured out that...
I had my dad bring my home a ton of ulva from Atlantic Highlands and right after I noticed I had a bunch of pods on the glass which I didn't have before. He brought it home in a bucket and I've dumped that water in too. I also have some inverts from the area and whatnot too. I don't exactly have...
Hi everyone,
I have a Halloween Hermit crab who will only live in the narrow slit conch shells. He's in a fairly large conch shell now but he's starting to look for more shells. I do not have any other conch shells for him and he certainly is growing like crazy. I want to have a nice variety...
Hi everyone,
When I started out I bought what I was told was a turbo snail from a LFS. I was just doing more research on CUCs and have discovered that what I have is a margarita snail. I've read they won't survive long in warm tanks and would love the poor thing to be able to not cook to death.
My LFS is Absolutely Fish, about 20 minutes away, I'm also only like 15 minutes from Sea Level but I like to go to Absolutely.
I guess it just feels like everyone is from south jersey (or that mythical land somewhere in the middle) because whenever I look up the most recommended places they...
No turtle! I didn't see any turtles worry not @trio91 and @MadReefer!!!
I did see a painfully skinny dragonette, darker blotchy gray colors, it didn't look like it would make it too long if any of you are interested in some TLC.
Another one had some white stringy poop, don't remember what...
Yeah, I stopped in last Thursday. Person in there seemed nice, there was some sort of major spill or some sort of issue going on half the store had a half inch of water in it. I used to go to carvel right there all the time as a kid and never knew it existed, might be newer than that who knows...
Something to keep in mind at least. Is that one of the LFS you like to go to for corals? I'd love to learn people's favorite local coral places, the 'where do you shop' thread is a bit outdated I've found.
I went to a place in Union the other day, Underwater World. Sign said it's under new management so I'll reserve judgement until I find out if anyone has any information to share about that if it's a new person taking over for a shop that wasn't doing so well or what? The place was clearly in the...
I've looked all I really see is the group buy and being able to post for sale threads? Maybe I'm missing something? Plus all of y'all are in south jersey, it's quite the hike :p
Hi everyone,
As the title states, where do you get your frags? LFS, trades, online? Most of what I see online are colonies which aren't even near my price range. I don't mind getting things that are rather small, I'd even prefer it if it means that it costs less but my LFS tends to keep the same...
I got one from amazon, about $20 shipped from china, took a couple weeks but I quite like it. It also came with a magnifying lens which is really cool for anything that's right up against the glass but otherwise it's a bit too blurry.
Super photo heavy coming up.
GSP is with whites on lens no...
The less time in copper sounds better to me, I'm afraid of it to begin with, the less time they're in there the less worried I'll be. I'm glad to hear that you seem to think that the sponges will be fine because that was my bet on biological filtration for them.
Any thoughts on what an algae...
It really looks like I'll have to research more on copper treatments. Another method I've just been told about was a lot slower and a lot longer. I like the shorter time span in copper much better but I have yet to start any further research on that past 'the Hanna tester seems expensive but...
