I had my fuge up for about 12-14 hours. Now I only keep my fuge on for like 5 hours. (but that's because I have very low nutrients so I'm trying to bump them up)
Corals don't need to eat. Thats why we use the lights that we do. That's how they "feed". While some have seen coral foods help them color up and grow, its not required other than maybe by some specific corals. They get all the nutrients they need from the water and the lights.
I'm not saying...
I would stop feeding reefroids. They'll spike your phosphates and that's what you're trying to avoid. Testing right after feeding the tank will result in the nutritients showing higher than what they'll be after going through your filtration. Increase photo period for the chaeto. Should help
It's the same fish for the most part. The biggest difference would be that as you can tell by paulie's, you can get them MUCH smaller than a regular yellow tang. Which means you can house them in a smaller aquarium for longer before they outgrow it. Aside from that, they're just like a normal...
Captive bred yellow tangs are usually around the $100 ball park. Sure some stores might have them cheaper. But for the most part, that's where they sit at
The way I see it is that if a mask will help reduce the spread even by 5% , I'm wearing it. With that being said, having big meetings indoors is probably not a good idea. I'd much rather be outside freezing with a few people than stuck inside next to a bunch of people
They got some great stuff. I was looking at it. I just hate ordering livestock online because corals are expensive enough without having to also pay for shipping
Triton and ati are the most popular. ATI also tests your RO water so that's a plus. Triton gives you explanations on what to do to fix what's off with your params. Not sure about ATI. Never done one. Both roughly the same price. $45-$50.
Only because I'm an*l and I don't want you to make a mistake, i want to make sure And to reiterate that the conversion is ONLY for the phosphorus checker (which shows result in ppb and the conversion is to turn it into phosphate ppM) does not apply the phosphate ULR.
I second what @iTzJu is saying. It doesn't make sense for a fresh batch to be showing .29.
are you sure you're running the test right?
-Add C1 (sample water to be tested)
-Press button
-Once C2 shows up, add reagent.
-Shake for 2 mins.
-Make sure vial is clean (I use microfiber towels to make...
Im a bit of a tech geek so I find it cool. I actually enjoy knowing my parameters. Never owned an apex or anything like that. Closest thing is the Hanna. I hate the process of testing tho. Specially with the color charts because I have an imposible time trying to figure out the difference in colors.
Ok so I wanna hear everyone's thoughts on the new GHL ION Director.
It can measure calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and nitrate.
I've never heard of anything else able to test all these things.
