I siphoned so much sand that some came out and I tossed it.

It has baffles. The water level in skimmer chamber was very high. The return pump chamber was probably half the height. I ended up lowering the water level in skimmer chamber to half total height and return is 1/4 to 1/3 total height.

Always mark you sump level with tape, paint etc. I neglected to do this and my skimmer would not stop overflowing. Short story, sump water level was to high and once reduced the skimmer worked normal again.

I feel we should look to our LFS for something like this before looking at on-line stores. I know in the past Aquatic Obsession's gave us great deals on salt, store pick only. If we have enough people maybe we can hit up two LFS, North and South to make it easy for people to get there items.
