This last March my tank was 40 years old. Thats not why I started this thread but I figured I would mention it because I know that somewhere on here there was a thread about it.
I can't find it so I am putting this here.
A few weeks ago I added one of those silly gobi/shrimp pairs. As soon as...
All good Ideas. We went on numerous cruises and even a many times on the dinner, dancing ones around Manhattan. Living on Long Island, you can't get away from cruising. but we have a boat.
A personal chef is a good Idea. We will be almost doing that as my friend owns one of the best restaurants...
After 38 years, there are no restaurants she has not been to. I may do a day of going to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island where our Grand Parents came through. Like most New Yorkers, we never went there.
Then a great restaurant.
She doesn't realize we have a tank now :jaded:
This week is my 38th :rolleyes:wedding anniversary and I am almost out of ideas for gifts for my wife. :soap:
We have gone on many trips to off the wall places, I took her around Manhattan on a helocopter, we did the horse and buggy thing through Central Park a few times, ate at the top of the...

This is a view from inside after I removed the bottom. It...
I am very happy with the way my tank is running now. It has gone through many cycles over the years and now the LPS, SPS and fish all seem very healthy and there are no problems that I can see. These cycles usually only last a year or so and then something or other changes and either the LPS...
Yesterday I was looking at this guy who was resting in a hole. Suddenly I noticed there was something in there with him. I took my flashlight (that I keep next to the tank) and peered in. It was a huge bristle worm wrapped around the bleeny. At first I thought the fish was dying and the worm...
I don't know how many of these local mud snails and grass shrimp are in my reef but I dropped two pellets in this spot and with in 5 minutes there are 8 mud snails and 3 grass shrimp here fighting for lunch.
The tank is 6' long so they came from long distances to get here.
It's raining and I feel like rambling. Biodiversity. I am facinated by this. I also think it is a cool word. But for us aquarists it is restricted to marine animals, some good (for our tanks) and some bad (for our tanks). All animals are good for something, at least they think so. Even...
I deleted some pictures, I am not sure the wedding party wants their pictures published.
The first picture was two guys in wedding Tee shirts but they were the son and Grand Son of the couple.
