    I don't think it will matter, unless the temp probe is too close to a pump which might give a false reading, due to pumps heating up your sump water.

    I keep mine in my sump. I don't think the ORP and the PH probe are supposed to be emerged under the water. I think the top inch is supposed to be out of the water.

    Don't laugh. When I first started 30 years ago, we used to put a few pennies in the tank to treat for most fish sickness's.

    With fresh water you would be killing all the good bacteria. Rinsing with salt water will not cause a new cycle.

    PM sent I had to shim my 220 about half an inch. I used under layment shingles like Jeff suggested.
