my buddy lives in Cape May, just got his power back from Saturday (4 days without power!!!) He went and just picked up a portable generator at Lowes for $329 which was a 3500watt Peak generator. It worked great and not invested. It was enough to run his heaters and pump. Didn't lose anything...

what brand of skimmer? also checking the manufactors website for FAQ, they usually list the water height for skimmers too.

ok well I am moving along slowly.. here is the canopy retro'd with 7 T5HOs. I ordered new lamps so the colors are not correct yet. The tank is all plumbed in and running salt water.. More to come soon!

ok so I am still getting things together for this build. I was doing a lot of math today and was trying to determine what to do with lighting 6 T5HO lamps wired to an icecap ballast is going to draw - 567 watts (roughly after using an amprobe on it) and so I wonder.. should I just do 2 250w...
