I just shake the stuff out of them and toss em in Paul, I think front loaders could be a little violent on them also, they are constantly tumbling. I did have an occasional break where you describe, but what I found worse on mine was the ring would rub the mesh and actually slice through...

If I'm not mistaken, I think anything over 3 inches has a better rate of survival anyway. I miss my big 12 inch clam...Got him at 4 inches and never thought it would grow that big.

My father is considering to keep his dry docked! I told him he needs to get a trailer and trailer it to the gas station. With like 200 gals of gas, the savings would justify ramp fees. LOL

Left the meeting at Mike's house needing fuel last night...First station had it for $4.25!!! Screw them, kept driving, found a Quick check gas station who had diesel for cheap, but couldn't get over in time and didn't want to turn around. OF Course there were no more stations on the way home...
