Negative space rock scape is beneficial for your fish especially larger ones. It also improves water flow and better for corals. There are folks that will do it for you. I saw one at Philly splash several years back but they were pretty expensive. I took my time and had fun with it.

I have a pair. The watchman and the pistol stay under one rock which is covered in zoas. No ill effects whatsoever as far as I can tell. Copperband died. :(

Filtration does not remove copper. Some media supposedly absorbs copper and can change levels. Best media is plastic bio balls as they won’t absorb copper. I keep two bags in my sump if I need to set up a quarantine. Even then ammonia can be a problem. Get one of those seachem ammonia alerts and...
