Hey guy's My names Ryan. I have a 30 gal tank with a 1" return and a 20 gal sump. I have a few Questions about Pump size. I was looking at the Little Giant 3-MDQ-SC or maybe the 3-MDQX-SC but not sure if my return will handle that pump or will it?

I think as a general rule you can count on a 1" drain line to handle about 600gph. Based on that, I think the 3-MDQ-SC would be OK. The 3-MDQX-SC may be too much. Another factor to consider is head pressure but if your sump is directly under your tank, that should be nominal.
