So I figured I'd post some pics of the new tank. Got this from Adesimone after a minor accident involving a car and a fish tank. So, we broke it down (which is no easy task mind you. Marineland Cubes are "Built Ford Tough"), cut out as much silicone as we could, ordered the new glass panel and reinstalled the glass and the overflow. Watertested and good to go! My brother built a custom hood for me, incorporating a Stevesled.com 3 w Led build, and an open panel top for which the 175w halide fixture sits in. (I wanted to try a high noon halide on top of the LED). This panel can easily be filled in with another 2 channels of LED. Right now, 28 LED's on a 2:1 Blue to white ratio are running on the tank. Reefrocks.net rock helped make the rockscape. I wanted a large sandbed area for my favorites, Heliofungia, scolymia, and a 12" Deresa clam I have sitting in my frag tank, so I tried to keep it as open in front as possible. So far it's cycling and we're gonna take our time getting it set up right. I'm in absolutely no rush!
