a hitchiker question

Hi Anyone.... here is question for anyone...

i found my tank front glass covered with microscopic white specs yesterday after coming home from work. It was sort of like white dusting on the glass. I didnt' know what it was and have never seen that happen.

i then got out my magnifying glass to see if it might be something alive.

it turns out they were all approx 1 mm long. sort of shaped like a microscopic cylindrical shaped worm b/c if they are 1 mm long their width/thicknexx was 1/4 or 1/3 of a millimieter. I did see that they were squirming about. don't know for sure but i thought i saw some of my snails (strombus type) attempting to eat them off the glass.

since they were living beings, i didnt' bother to clean the glass - thinking most hitchkers are good for the system.

this morning (over night), i looked after the lights came on and they were all gone (mostly gone).

I know for sure they were not flat worms (flat worms being a bit larger and flatter and i've had them before). these were more or less cylindrical in shape more or less white or beige in color and i couldnt see whether or not they have eyes.

anyone have any idea what they might be. anyone ever seen this sort of dusting on the glass. any one know why they all disappeared over night. did they all crawl off the glass to the substrate?

obviously with them all gone, i can't post a photo.

tiny pods- if you have a sand sifter or a mandarine they will eat the right up and you wont see much of them anymore lol.

in the morning after the lights came on they were all gone.... after work when i came home they are on the glass again.... i'll put a pic up....

thanks for your feedback...

the little specs are smaller then grains of sand and they arent flat looking that i think you have nothing to worry about- they are probably some sort of pod.gl with the picture taking
