actinic help?

I presently have a 75gal, with 2x175watt Hamilton MH, and 2x60watt actinics. The MH and actinics are wired so that I can not have the actinics on without the MH.
I want to be able to do so..........

Is there a way of rewiring the existing light?
If I use a seperate actinic light, is it worth taking an old Perfecto fluorescent light and installing a "$15" 40watt actinic blue bulb?

Definitly a big bonus to be able to run Actinics by themselves. What you need is a seperate Ballast like the Icecap 430. It can run (2) 48" 110W Actinics. Your tank would look sharp. Is it a 4 foot tank?

I have two MH's running with the Actinics I mentioned above. MH's are on for only about 6 hours per day, Actinics run for 14 hours per day. I could shut them off for the time the MH's are on, but I dont.
Anyway, the early morning and late night Actinic only is a great look for your tank.

The MH gota be on a seperate Ballast
How many Ballast do you have?
The heavy ones are the MH Ballast
Are you good with wireing?
