Advice on my new Bio-Pellet setup please...

So I cashed in my BRS points over Memorial Day weekend and got an Alpha 2 Bio-Pellet Reactor. his afternoon I ripped my sump out and took it outside and cleaned the crap out of it then put it all back with some changes. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

So the water comes in the sump from the left side and flows right. I read that you need to have the reactor plumbed to the skimmer and that they should not both be in the same chamber. Is it ok that I used that PVC to run it from the reactor to the skimmer? I just fitted it together to see if it would work. I was trying to use the tube that came with it but it was cooperating. I have about 100 gallons of total -tank water +/- a few. I will eventually use 500ml of pellets but to start I soaked 1/2 cup of them in RO/DI water then put them in. I know I have to figure a way to keep in in the dark but its too much fun watching them spin around now.

Let me know if what I did is right/wrong will/won't work.

Thanks

Looks fine Matt. Adjust the flow so your pellets are just fluidized, basically a slow roll. Too much and the turbulence will slough off the bacteria, too slow, and the pellets will begin to stick together. If you're running any GFO, take it off line for a while.
