Aiptasia

I found an Aiptasia on a frag in my quarantine. Removed the frag. Scrubbed it clean. Rinsed with tank water into sink and put back in quarantine. How long do I need to wait to see if I got it all. Or how fast will it reappear to where I can see it if I did not get it all

Did you use Bayer dip and CoralRX? Scrubbing it clean will do nothing but spread the love. If I found a pest in QT, it would get re-dipped in both and spend 6 weeks in QT at this point

Mix some kalkwasser paste and Smear it on the area were you saw it and let it sit for little bit that should kill it. But be careful not to get it on the coral tissue.

If it's accessible and not too close to the actual coral, I usually syringe boiling water on it. A couple of pumps and it just melts away. Angle it so the water drains away from the coral.. haven't had any come back so far.

It was in terrible spot on top of plug wedged between to polyps. I dipped in coral rx. I get that did nothing. Then I took a scalpel and magnifying glasses and dug and scraped rinsed. Dug and scraped and repeated till I saw nothing. Then I poured tank water over so it wasn't in the contaminated water and put back in quarantine. I guess just wait it out for six weeks

If you plan to keep the QT running I would pickup a filefish and place it in QT tank.
I have used lemon juice to melt it but does come back. Benefit of melting was the file fish was able to eat what was leftover.

Have to be careful with filefish because if it's just one aiptasia it will run out of food quick

To my knowledge it’s just one. But who knows. From what I read. I may have created a boat load. Have my fingers crossed that I got it all

peppermint shrimp work for me, but have to be replaced periodically. If you go this way, you can order from the collector we got the rics from. He charges 3.50 a piece for 20 packs.

If youre getting from a LFS, be careful they're not selling you camel shrimp. Hard to discern, but they almost never know. They work too, but are much more aggressive about ripping through corals to take food from them.
