hello fellow reefers, ive been battling small green fuzzy algae for weeks now couldnt find out what the source of this was, i tried lowing phosphates from 1.0 to .5 was basically impossible did 60% water changes weekly water was tested and all finally reduced my light by 50% ofcourse in a few day cycle to avoid shock,
and its finally dying off and the brown growing on the glass has lowered from daily cleaning to 3-4 day cleaning thank baby jesus.

i currently have some a good amount of it in between my rocks, corals, plugs basically all over ive brushed out all i really could with my scrubber, noticed my hermits cleaning it decently whats the best way to clean it out completely

10gallon tank cleaning crew = 4 hermits 5 snails 1 emerald crab

also what do you guys think about adding an lawmower benny currently have 2 clowns , 1 watchman goby , 1 scooter benny the tank is 10gallon you think adding a lawmower will exceed the tank capacity ?

I advise against the lawnmower Blenny. First, your already pushing the limits on fish stocking in a 10 gallon tank. Secondly, They are notorious for consuming all the algae and then starving, even big tanks. You would likely watch it thrive for a couple months, then watch it waist away and die a few months later. I like chemipure elite, and chemipure blue, for a small tank. It gets expensive for larger systems, but is not too bad for small tanks. I use to buy it in 6 packs online. About half the price of individual at the lfs. I use to through a whole bag in a small reactor when I had my 10 gallon. If you use the blue, be careful it can strip phosphates too quickly. I did not find it effective when I did not use a reactor. Although my current tank has its own set of problems, my previous 10 gallon Nano tank was pretty successful.
