+1 on this, same thing happens to me, no difference at all.Assuming you're not running an ultra low nutrient system, do you find it to be waste of money? Tried Acropower and ME amino, didn't notice any change. And the nutrient in my tank is fairly low too.
I have tried in the past to dose amigos. Anytime I got into regular dosing I did see a bit of improvement in PE, but also usually an increase in algae and sometime cyano. I'm sure they are great for some systems, I just can't say mine was one of them.
Your spanish is very good Paul and I think you should start dosing the alcohol with Kevin and I "Dos Amigos"...lol.Kevin, I think you might have meant "dos amigos".....two friends. The only dosing I have done to friends is with alcohol.....and in some cases, more or less, as far as the number of friends. Right now, I'm self dosing, and it's fine!!! So I guess that's "cero amigos," unless you wish to stop by.
As far as dosing amino acids (or amigos, if you wish), as a biochemist, I've scratched my head on this one. I believe it's marketing hype. The human body produces all amino acids it needs, with the exception of two. I've got to believe corals are similar. I can only see the dosing of amino acids as a food source for bacteria....not for corals to "absorb" this amino acid to incorporate into it's protein structure. A bunch of hooey as far as I'm concerned.
