Saw this on a fishing forum I'm on. Apparently there was a tsunami that hit around long beach island.

Listening to the radio yesterday they said the six foot wave washed three people off the jetty at Barnegat Inlet. All three were saved.

I read about it yesterday on some news site. Can't remember which one. Nice of them to announce it NOW huh?

I was at a seminar yesterday given by NOAA yesterday and they were talking about it. I think they said it was caused by a 6.6 earthquake off the coast. The Tsunami center is in Alaska and that is where all things like that are monitored. It was an interesting class it was all about Hurricane Sandy and what to expect this year. They told us to expect an above average amount of, "named storms" this year.

Ive been knocked off that jetty. Not something I care to repeat.
