I have a 6 inch vlamingi tang starting to get his streamers and he needs a bigger tank. catching him with a net would be impossible but he eats everything so a trap would be good but i dont have one. so if anyone have one and a large tank and wants a vlamingi if we can get him out hes urs.

I recently had to remove a fish and used a sheet of clear glass. The fish cant see it and you can slowly move him toward a corner . It was pretty funny seeing the fish trying to figure out the invisible force field . Still have the piece of glass if you need .

Here is what I will do (have done).

Go to the grocery store - shoprite ??? and get a 1 gallon bottle of water (bottled water). This is NOT like a milk can.
It is bottled water but in shape of a fat bottle. The diameter of this bottle is like 4/5 inches. This was $1 when I got it.
Cut the bottom out and place some food in it (I put a algae sheet and glue it to the inside of the bottle). Since your fish eats well it will go in.
Since the bottle is like 10 inches long, you will have enough time to pull it out with the fish in it.

Works everytime for me for any fish that loves to eat - like me ;D

Good luck.
