put the tank on a flat surface outside and fill it, leave it for some time and see if it holds water.
you could do this inside as its been cold out the past few days but this has a chance of getting messy. i dont think taking a small tanks seal appart is worth the time or effort IMO.
( Hey mike, Thanks again , I don't think im gona have proublem with your tank, that one is cleaning up really nice

The one that may have a proubelm is a 65 gallon with corner overflow
Did you try leaving the vinegar on it soaking then scrape it off?
Same thing with the overflow. Let it soak.
The white Coraline will fall off eventually. It is not harmfull.
I can reseal it for you if it makes you feel more comfortable.
MIKEM, I am thinking of making a sump from a 20ga 24l x 17h x 12d if I get the glass dividers cut for a return section and intake section would you silicone them in place, wherever you think they should go? And if yes, how much will you charge me?
Thanks
I got a giant bottle of vinegar from walmart today
let the soaking begin
I got the bottle brush gadget also like you suggested
I'm staying clear of silicone and will do a water test soon as I'm done cleaning
Hopefully holds and no worries
Really appreciate you help ,Thanks!
I have done a few and I just scrape and remove the silicone from the glass faces and being careful NOT TO CUT THE SILICONE BETWEEN THE GLASS. Then just run a new bead of sili along the joints smooth it with your fingers and its that easy.
Ya I would deff do it yourself.. Its very easy to reseal it... As mentioned above just pull out all the silicone and clean it up with vinegar or alcohol ( Dont forget to rinse real good before using) and take your time and run some real nice beads at all the joints... I resealed a 29 gallon for a friend in about a half an hour and its been leak free for a year... Just be sure to push the silicone into the cracks when your running your finger through it..
